The subheadings on this page refer one to guidance for parents, children and youths
Many parents would like guidance from the Bible on how to go about teaching their children to make straight paths for their feet. By going to the subheading “Bringing up children” material has been taken from the book “listening to the great teacher” a book published by Jehovah’s witnesses to help parents handle the job. I will generally be including a chapter from time to time using this book as a sample of the kind of education it provides. The first chapter ” A Word to Parents” suggests how the parent can make use of the book. If a parent finds this to their taste then I suggest that they ask any one of Jehovah’s witnesses to get them a copy. It will be supplied without charge but the parent can make a donation to the worldwide work of Jehovah’s witnesses which will be appreciated. If one knows where the meeting places of Jehovah’s witnesses are one can also obtain these publications there. The meeting places are not reserved for Jehovah’s witnesses only and are open to the public.

What the Bible Really Teaches.
This Section is devoted to help those who would generally like to understand the Bible. The articles featured here are samples taken from the book “What the Bible Really Teaches” published by Jehovah’s witnesses and used as the basic study textbook for the millions of Bible studies held worldwide in the homes of people.
I have published these article to give you a sample of what you can learn but it must be appreciated that the maximum benefit is obtained when the personal home study is conducted by one of the witnesses generally in your own language and usually lasting about an hour a week, although this can vary according to your taste and opportunity.
The student is generally asked to read through the assigned chapter during the week before the study. (None of the suggestions are insisted upon) It is suggested that he then underline or mark the answers in the paragraphs. The study is opened with prayer and then the paragraphs again read and the questions asked. The study conductor is then able to discern from your answers whether you understand the point or not. Some of the key scriptures are read although it helps if you have also previously checked the scriptures yourself previously.
I can assure you that the study is enjoyable and it is wonderful to actually know what the Bible has to say on various subjects. If you find this interestingly I would recommend that you ask any one of Jehovah’s witnesses to study with you and you can also contact their organization by examining the links on my site.
Here is the first article.
