As a young man I had been brought up to believe in the bible and so this I did, until one day when I decided to read the bible for myself and found that I could not understand it.

As my family had been members of the Salvation Army I felt that we had had plenty of time to know what the bible taught. My ignorance of its teachings did not make sense to me.

If there was a God, I reasoned why did he not just tell us what he required from us. I therefore became an evolutionist because that seemed the only plausible alternative.

One day I was introduced to a person who was studying with Jehovah’s witnesses as an evolutionist who then asked me to explain how evolution could explain the formation of the eye.

The person never realised what a shock this caused me as I went off immediately afterward to a musical jam session.

Why was this a shock? Because I knew enough about evolution to know that it was supposed to have developed by a series of very small accidental changes in a creature which were retained because of their usefulness and then passed on to the next generation. The same process is supposed to continue indefinitely  without limitation until entire new generations of creatures came into existence.

The theory did not make any allowance for design, maintaining that the design was merely apparent. The falsity of this claim is shown by the fact that scientists are sending radio signals out into space that they have intelligently put together. For what purpose? In the hope that intelligent creatures out in space will realize that these could have only originated from an intelligent source and so send us a reply. Is this not an admission that we recognize intelligent design when we see it? I also realized that the eyes were cameras of superior design to anything that man had yet produced. Engineers, studied optics and mechanics. They designed cameras that were then assembled by intelligent beings. The parts were all engineered to specific formulas. Nothing was produced by accident. Even if one gave all the already engineered parts to a chimpanzee, that had some intelligence. It could not be capable of assembling a camera because of its complexity A camera could not develop by slight changes, as evolution required and even be useful while being formed as the so-called law “Natural Selection” would reject it.

I was back to square one. Needless to say after a few months checking here and there I agreed to a bible study with Jehovah’s witnesses and within six months knew more about the bible than approximately 20 years in the Salvation Army. After coming to an accurate understanding of why the Bible was written the way it is and its teachings I became a witness.

Now after being a witness for 55 years, I look back and wonder why it is so hard for people to accept the fact the evolution theory is a myth.

My own experience has shown me these facts.

1.    I had no knowledge or understanding of the bible for which I blame the churches, therefore I could not defend my faith.
2.    The evolutionary alternative was supported by the claim that all reputable scientists accepted it as fact.  And one believes what the teacher tells you.
3.    I incorrectly accepted the apparent similarity in life forms of life as proof of evolution without thinking the matter through.

What do I mean by “thinking the matter through”? Here is an example.
Almost all creatures (insect and animal) have legs and appendages like wings or arms and so let us consider as an example the evolution of an arm. Any other example may be used, but preferably something that one has some knowledge of.

The first problem evolution faces is, why evolution should form an arm if the creature has so far survived adequately without one?  An arm starts with a shoulder. This is a ball and socket joint. A socket has to develop by tiny modifications over millions of years. At the same time a ball has to develop separately (unattached to the shoulder socket) simultaneously with the socket. Remember the two have to ultimately be a perfect fit so that perfectly smooth movement can take place. If you have arthritis the pain is unbelievable so the fit has to be exact.

Now how does evolution develop this ball and socket joint? Remember that the ball is completely separate from the socket that is attached to the body. What keeps the two bone structures in place for millions of years? In what way can this developing joint serve as a benefit to the creature? (Survival of the fittest) Surely it is only a hindrance and therefore to be discarded by natural selection. Evolutionists have no answer to these questions..

Even if by some unaided magic the ball joint should develop of what use is it to the creature? No use whatsoever. The body has to know that it has to be held in place by ligaments, which have to develop simultaneously to be of any use. Yet when the ligaments are holding the joint in place it is still useless. The joint requires muscles to move the arm. A computer program in the brain is also required to control the muscle movement and also a network of nerves to take the brain signals to the muscles.

The question is this.
How does the body know that all these systems are required? How does it know how to produce these systems? How does it manage to accomplish this by a series of accidental modifications covering millions of years? If it takes so long to produce a shoulder joint, where does it get the time to evolve the billions of other organs, and systems which are present in full grown creatures and plants?

Of what use is a shoulder to the creature? None! The arm is useless until the development of the elbow and forearm and the wrist with its complete collection of bones, muscles, tendons, nerves, and a blood supply system to maintain the life force in the arm. All of these other systems have to develop, some at the same time, and some in sequential order, because you cannot develop a hand or elbow before the shoulder for example. All of this development according to evolution is without direction, or guidance. Evolution is supposed to have developed appropriate computer programs by accident in the brain to operate these systems. Surely Bill Gates must be wrong when he hires computer programmers to develop his programs when the same thing could happen by chance? Evolution gives “Natural Selection” the power and wisdom of God to accomplish these miracles. Yet “Natural Selection” is merely the principle of the “Survival of the Fittest”. How does natural selection handle the billions of possible other accidental modifications which would work against the formation of the joint? How does evolution know which modifications to keep and which to reject?
How about knowing where to locate the shoulder? It would be useless if placed behind on your rear end. But this could be so if it occurred by accident?

For effective use two arms are required. How does evolution know how to form two arms at the correct places so they can work together in sync. Remember no intelligence or design is used so how does the body remember what it did before so that it can duplicate the process.

As you can see by thinking it through evolution becomes absolute nonsense.

The only place where all of this actually does happen is of course in the womb, which is a miracle itself. This miracle of creation takes place in nine months and not millions of years. It does not happen by accident. In the first cell of the child is the complete design or plan together with all the instructions on how to build and maintain itself. As reproduction begins with the cell. accidental modifications which occurred before that time in the chemistry cannot be passed on. Scientists have estimated that the DNA molecule in the cell has in it the written down instructions with enough information to fill a thousand books. Surely only Jehovah God should receive the credit for this miracle and not some blind force like “Natural Selection”

It is amazing when one considers that in an age when technology has reached such heights of achievement that the majority of mankind should prefer to believe myths like evolution. Notice that any layman should be quite capable of coming to an accurate conclusion of the matter.
Is it wonder that the Bible states:
“The senseless one has said in his heart: “There is no Jehovah “(Psalm 14:1)

Happily some scientists are beginning to apply the method of thinking the matter through such as the one-time evolutionists who produced the DVD entitled “Unlocking the mysteries of life”
