The principle of cause and effect is one of the most basic of laws. The theory of evolution brought a radical change in the thinking of humans on this earth. Belief in a creator made persons feel answerable to a higher power than themselves. In this way, the religious teaching that humans had been exposed to, although not always based on accurate knowledge, nevertheless helped society to exercise restraint in their behavior. Certain basic principles were self-evident.  Stealing, oppression, immoral conduct were regarded as bad and when individuals violated these principles, they were generally regarded as having to answer to their creator for this abuse of human rights.

Then the evolution theory arrived and changed all that. Life began to be viewed as a competition for existence. A law was created called natural selection that was interpreted as the survival of the fittest. A great future was predicted for the human race. We were supposed to be evolving higher and higher. Primitive nations were looked down as inferior. A noble destiny awaited the more civilized nations. They were destined to uplift the inferior races and so help speed their evolution onward.  Imaginative pictures, were drawn depicting the future, portraying humans with enormous heads, with large brains and weak spindly legs because it was thought that humans would ultimately evolve such advanced mental powers that they would not have much use for strong legs.

By the time the 20th century arrived the evolutionary belief was in full swing. Competition was according to a natural law and was regarded as healthy. Competition was regarded as the key to progress. and as scientific  technology developed machines that could do work, a wonderful new world was envisaged. I remember as a young lad in the late 1930′s being told by our teachers that the future world would be a wonderful place. It would be quiet and peaceful with vehicles all running on pneumatic tyres. We would possibly need to work only half-days because machines would be doing all the work. The work would be easier and we would have plenty of time to pursue hobbies and constructive projects on our homes.

Looking back

But now, looking back into the stream of time we see the damaging effects that the theory of evolution brought about and sad to say what we see today is far from what was envisaged. The evolution  theory removed God and replaced him with the mother goddess “nature” with her assumed law of the “survival of the fittest.” Greed and selfish competition took over instead of love and consideration. This selfish way of life was excused by evolution as being in harmony with natural law and Love and consideration was regarded as a weakness.

Instead of humans working less hours because of the machines. Men began to lose jobs and were replaced by machines in the search for greater profits. Right or wrong became a matter of opinion, and decided by whoever had the power to enforce their views. Truth became a matter of how slick one was with words. Examples were:- terrorists became freedom fighters, rebellion was regarded as fighting for freedom. fornication became having a relationship, adultery became having an affair. racialism became affirmative action, homosexuality became one’s sexual preference. In this way the human race lost much of the morality that it had developed over the years when the Bible was regarded as the word of God. Because humans were regarded as higher animals, psychology progressed by a study of animal behavior. The results to mankind for these changes were increased hardship and unhappiness.

What has been the result of evolution’s take over. Two world wars, genocide, unemployment, increase in crime, increases in the numbers of senseless brutal murders, hijackings and robberies. There has never been a sound reason for inflation. In spite of the double talk by economists, there is only one reason for inflation, greed. Think of it, why should costs and prices go up? Only because someone wanted increased profits. How do you as an individual feel about this? Are humans happier? Are they more contented? Has mankind benefited from abandoning the Bible and belief in God in favor of evolution?

The world’s religions have also failed, because if they had done their job properly they would have built faith and not left a vacuum for evolution to fill.  Most church goers are totally ignorant of how the Bible was written. Contradictory doctrines and unreasonable explanations have caused people to doubt the existence of the creator. The common view of the Bible is that it is filled with legend and that science has rendered it obsolete. But can any one deny that the works of men are just what the Bible stated the works of the flesh would be.  (Galatians 5:19-21) 19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, and they are fornication, uncleanness, loose conduct, 20 idolatry, practice of spiritism, enmities, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, contentions, divisions, sects, 21 envies, drunken bouts, revelries, and things like these. As to these things I am forewarning YOU, the same way as I did forewarn YOU, that those who practice such things will not inherit God’s kingdom.”

True religion would have produced fruits of the spirit. (Galatians 5:22-24) 22 On the other hand, the fruitage of the spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith, 23 mildness, self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24 Moreover, those who belong to Christ Jesus impaled the flesh together with its passions and desires.

Strangely enough the Bible has predicted the conditions that we observe today, saying that they are signs that we are in the last days. Is it coincidence that we face a population explosion, global warming, global pollution, an economic crisis and energy and food crisis all at the same time today.

(2 Timothy 3:1-5) . . .But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, self-assuming, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, 3 having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, 4 betrayers, headstrong, puffed up [with pride], lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godly devotion but proving false to its power; and from these turn away. . .

The time has arrived when thinking persons who are looking for something better, to search for the truth. The confusion in the world results for the most part because of what men believe. To illustrate:-Hitler believed the theory that the Jews were responsible for the problems in the world so he tried to exterminate them. The Japanese believed that their emperor was a God and that surrender was dishonorable, this led them to commit suicide by the thousands in world war 2, so it is an inescapable fact that the beliefs of people affect their behaviour. This shows that the popular idea that “it does not matter what one believes as long as one believes” is false. Mankind needs to wake up. Evolution must be rejected as the false religion that it is. People must once again not accept the false idea that “what was good enough for my father was good enough for me.” My grandmother may have been a very good sincere woman, yet her beliefs could be  wrong. A careful study of the bible reveals that willful ignorance of the Bible is unacceptable to God, but persons that never had a fair opportunity to accurately know the bible will be given an opportunity. That is why Jesus said that there will be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.

In searching for the truth there are certain guidelines that we can follow. Don’t conclude that because religions quote from the Bible that their teachings are based on the Bible. If they were then there would be only one religion. Only an understanding of the Bible’s contents that results in no contradiction can be correct. Why? If you received a letter from someone that contradicted itself in many ways you would rightly conclude that the writer did not know what he was talking about. Therefore if we profess to believe in the Bible, how can we hold to contradictory teachings, surely this would mean that we think that God does not know what he is talking about?

What we need to do is check which religion provides a teaching that does not contradict itself. To illustrate:- Avoid a religion that teaches that “God is love and Just” and then contradicts the teaching by teaching that lawbreakers will be tormented in a fiery hell for ever. Obviously that penalty for sin is not loving or just. Does your sense of justice allow you to believe that someone who did bad things in seventy or eighty years should be tortured for all eternity? After all we all know that the Bible teaches that “the wages of sin is death”. A more careful study of the bible needs to be made to show what the Bible really teaches on the subject. There has to be one true religion around somewhere. Furthermore if you know little or nothing about the Bible then obviously your religion is wrong. Consider this illustration:- If you put you child in a boarding school because you would be away for a number of years, on returning years later you asked your child a number of elementary questions and found that he knew nothing,  you might conclude that your child was backward and not too bright. However on  checking  with many of the other children, you found that they all were ignorant of many things, what would your conclusion then be?. I would venture that you would conclude that the school had not done its job.  The same applies to a religious organization.

You should therefore look for a body of Christians who have a good knowledge of the bible. Once you have good knowledge of it yourself then you will be in a position to correctly apply its teachings in your life. Knowledge alone is not sufficient, it has to be applied, but without accurate knowledge one cannot ascertain what God’s requirements are. I have done this and feel that I have found the true religion but you might consider that I am presumptuous in saying that, and so I will leave you with the problem, however I can assure you that if you follow those guidelines in your search you should be able to find the truth.

Once you can see the failure of the evolution theory you will look at the universe and the natural world around you with a new understanding. Remember that just as the craftsmanship of a craftsman reflects the character of the craftsman to some extent, so the creation tells us something about our creator. Consider this illustration:-A man has his bladder removed and all the surgeons can do is to fit him with a replacement bag,. They cannot think of a better idea. Now evolutions is mindless and unemotional. It does not care whether you walk around spraying urine all over the place and the bladder is certainly not essential for survival, however our creator desired us to be comfortable, clean and so he designed us with a bladder that accumulates the wastes we generate until they can be discharged at a convenient time. What wisdom? What consideration? Nature is filled with examples that show that God wants us to enjoy life by giving us pleasure, joy and happiness. However the existence of pain and suffering and death require an answer that only God can give.

If you gave a builder a plan to construct you house, would you not expect the builder to follow the plan. Likely, if you found that the builder changed everything to suit himself, would you not take suitable action to get what you required. Its the same with God. He is not living next door so you can run in and ask him why these things are so, but he left us a book that gives us the answer. Is this logical? Well what would be the best way of communicating with us. He would surely select men that he considered he could trust and then have them write the facts down. He would also select men he could trust to faithfully copy these documents so that they could survive because the material on which the documents were written was perishable. The documents would have to be complete and explain how we got here because mankind has always needed those answers. The existence of all these copies could  expose later fakes  that might be made. The writers would not contradict one another and the book would be readily available to all. If God had enemies we would need to know about them and why he permitted them to exist. These enemies would try to confuse us but the book could tell us how to see through their evil designs. What most people do not realize is that the word for Bible means “the books.” Yes. It is actually 66 separate books written over a period of about 1600 years. Now can you think of any library of books that you could bind together in one book and that could be read as one book without contradictions? This is the Bible.

As previously stated the evidence is all around us showing that the bible was correct in predicting that we are living in the last days. Further scientific studies without the misleading influence of the evolution theory will reveal that the biblical flood on Noah’s day actually did occur and that the evidence is all around us.  Geology has also been stunted into misinterpreting the evidence of the flood on Noah’s day.
