Religion can be defined as “faith in a Supernatural Power or Being”. However under the guise of science, a new religion has appeared. It is called “Evolution”.

The majority of people accept the new religion today without question. It has no visible evidence to support it. Nowhere on our planet do we find any forms of life evolving slowly into other forms of life. We are assured that it took billions of years to occur and happens so slowly that it is not observable. This reminds me of the fairy story of the emperor that had a coat made which was invisible and could only be seen by persons of high intellect. Of course everybody claimed that they had seen it.

Let us consider the results of belief in evolution.

Hitler believed in it. He tried to produce a master race and plunged the world into a war. He believed in the “survival of the fittest” which is the first commandment of the new religion. It has a law “natural selection” which has been gullibly gulped up by the scientific community as the mechanism of the new religion. The Supernatural power behind all of this is “Nature”. This non-entity called Nature displays enormous intelligence and design capability but does this, using a ”trial and error” method, in harmony with the laws of probability. “Natural Selection” selects the good trials and discards the bad trials.

Hitler was not the only one that served evolution. The communist system was also based on it. The belief was that the communist system was the fittest to survive. It took many decades and millions of lives to shown that it was wrong. A situation has arisen where many persons worshipping God the old way do not wish to be regarded as morons and have therefore also embraced the new religion together with their own. To do this, what was once regarded as the mainstay of most religions, “the Bible” has had to be relegated to the world of myth and legend.

What has been the result of this union?

The Bible’ standards of conduct are now viewed as primitive and out of date. The new standards are one’s own opinion of what is right and wrong. Evolution has no use for morality, it is regarded as a weakness. Marriage is out of date. Fornication and adultery have been replaced with “having a relationship” and homosexuality is regarded as “sexual preference”. Crime fits in very well with theory because the survival of the fittest is the name of the game.

What is put forward as proof of evolution is merely the similarity in structure of the various forms of life. The structure of a wing may be compared with the structure of the arm and similarities are put forward as proof that one arose from the other.

This oversimplification can be shown to be nonsense by taking just one example. Let us select the arm.
The formation of the arm requires the formation of a shoulder, an upper arm, an elbow, a forearm and a hand. Space will not permit us to discuss the whole arm but we will discuss the formation of just one joint, namely the shoulder. You, the reader employing a little commonsense can then go on to apply the same method of analyses to the rest of the arm.

Evolution cannot form a complete arm at once. This would be creation. It would require design and the power to create. To form a shoulder by evolution two completely separate bones must somehow develop together over millions of years by trial and error. However a little thought will show that despite the attempt to bypass design, knowledge of mechanics must somehow enter the picture. We are entitled to ask how nature knows that one side must develop a socket and the other side must develop a ball. The two bones must ultimately fit perfectly together because any arthritis sufferer will tell you how painful a join can be that is not a perfect fit. While the bones are developing they have to be already in position because they cannot be fitted together after they are perfectly formed. In the finished product ligaments do the trick. However, how are the bones kept together in this position while ligaments are being formed? Evolutionary magic. We just imagine that it happened. Surely natural selection should disqualify this creature. Even if by some magic this actually happened we would still have nothing more than a moveable bone. How are we to move it?

Muscles are needed so this poses another problem. Once again using a trial and error method in some mysterious wonderful way nature has to have a knowledge of mechanics. She has to understand how levers work, and exactly how to build an engine that can make use of this principle. Exactly at the right time a muscle is formed and attached to the right places so as to move the bone. Sad to say the bone is still useless because we have to have a way of telling the muscle what to do.

To accomplish this we need a program in the brain and a communication system making a connection from the brain to the trigger points of the muscle.

Can you imagine the know-how required to accomplish this task? This task, would surely occupy a whole squad of scientists and computer programmers However evolution is going to miraculously accomplish this task using the trial and error method. If evolution is true then this must all have happened over millions of years with natural selection rejecting the bad trials and accepting the good ones. Remember, evolution rejects God because we are not supposed to accept the supernatural. If this is not supernatural then what is? That is why I say that evolution is a new religion.

Space does not permit me to go further but I think that my analysis of the shoulder is sufficient to illustrate my point. The elbow and the hand with its wrist and opposable thumb can be similarly explored. The list is endless if one considers the billions of plants, insects, birds, reptiles, fish and animals that can be similarly explored. The results will show that history will remember the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries as the time mankind began to accept myths and fairy stories to explain the creation of life and the universe.

What the Bible said at 1 Corinthians 1:19,20 has come true.

“I will make the wisdom of the wise [men] perish, and the intelligence of the intellectual [men] I will shove aside.” 20 Where is the wise man? Where the scribe? Where the debater of this system of things? Did not God make the wisdom of the world foolish …..”
