This article is somewhat different from my other articles to some extent because it relies more on common sense than using the Bible as proof. What we intend showing is that the Bible is more reasonable than the evolution theory
Evolution according to the meaning of the word is a process. It moves in a particular direction. With regard to life, evolution assumes that the movement goes upward. That is why it is supposed to start with the formation of a single cell that can reproduce itself.
Evolutionists are constantly trying to explain how the cell could evolve, but when considering how things could have evolved there is always another stage to overcome. In their search for life they look at the chemistry of life, but that raises the question of where the chemistry of life came from. As the chemistry is matter, then the question arises of how matter came into existence. Every process has to have a cause, so unless we can establish a first cause, that was intelligent and possessed the power to create, this question will always arise. Only then can we stop asking that question. As chemistry is based on matter and matter is what the universe is made up of, the issue of where the universe came from is an important subject to persons who are not satisfied with a superficial answer.
Here is the rub. We rarely hear of evolution being explained with regard to the universe itself. Even Darwin himself believed in a creator and only proposed the idea of life evolving. Most other evolutionists and atheists prefer to stop short of that question. It is too painful to consider.

Evolution and a Beginning

However when we bring the issue of the universe into the discussion atheists and evolutionists have a problem. If the universe was always here, then there was no beginning and the time preceding our time is eternity. This means that all the time necessary for any process to have actually occurred would have already passed. This means that wherever the process of evolution was leading to, it had to have already reached that state. Why? Because infinite time would have been available before the present and this would have ensured this result.

To fully appreciate what I mean consider the present theory of the expanding universe. What is actually observed is that everything is apparently moving away from each other. To help us understand this process, imagine a painted balloon. As you blow it up the particles of paint mover further and further away from each other. If the balloon was blown up to infinity the particles of paint would have moved so far apart from one another that from any one spot on the balloon all other spots would have moved completely out of site.
Similarly, if our universe is expanding and it never had a beginning then the sky would be completely empty of any other stars or galaxies, they would have all moved out of site. The fact that we can observe an expanding universe testifies to its beginning. However you can be sure that at the present, atheistic evolutionist are beating their brains out to find some alternative theory to overcome this obvious conclusion. All this is common sense.

I realize that this is something to chew on, but if one seriously considers what I have said it is a logical and inevitable conclusion to arrive at.
So even evolution has to accept a beginning of some sort. To simply say that the universe evolved is simply sidestepping the issue with self-deception. Just as evolutionists sidestep the issue of a creator by attributing, intelligence, designing ability and creative power to the word, “Nature”. This is one area where time is not on the side of evolutionists but is directly against evolution.

Time and Evolution

Time travels in one direction, forward and we see it all around us. Stars convert matter to energy and we see the natural processes in the earth moving downward to decay. Science has even called this process the 2nd law of thermodynamics or the law of entropy. This law affects everything within a closed system. Life is the only process that seems to violate this principle, but even this is only temporary and apparent because all living things ultimately die and so yield to the law of entropy.

Every process that our scientists know of is apparently subject to this law. Evolutionists try to circumvent this theoretically by saying that the earth is not a closed system but they cannot use that argument because there are no such things as an open system for the reason that every system is a part of a greater system. As all systems are part of the universe which is a closed system the law of entropy applies. To think of the universe as an open system requires someone outside the system who is able to put energy into it and that will mean accepting that a creator has created the universe. This is not what evolutionists want.

Common sense tells us that something can never result from nothing. In other words there has to be a first cause. To say that the universe evolved is merely term-twisting. Even something that is evolving has to start somewhere and so have a beginning. This requires a first cause. No process can be infinite because then it would have had sufficient time to reach where it was going.
Therefore common sense tells us that it is stupidity to be an atheist. It is self-deception and a play on words. The universe is an ongoing process at this moment in time and therefore it would be dead now if it had been here from eternity.
(Psalm 14:1) . . .The senseless one has said in his heart: “There is no Jehovah.”. .
(Hebrews 3:4) . . .Of course, every house is constructed by someone, but he that constructed all things is God. . .

My bucket illustration is valid here:- If you arrive at a deserted village in the desert and discover a bucket with a hole in it and water is pouring out the hole then it proves that someone filled the bucket. If the bucket was empty then no process would be observable and that would be the end of the matter, but if the process of water running out of the bucket was occurring then someone had to have filled it.

The point of the illustration is that because the universe is a going concern with processes in operation then it had to have had a beginning. Why? because if it was here from eternity, it would have had enough time to complete any process it was busy with. Because the universe is at this moment still converting matter into energy, then it has not had sufficient time to convert all the matter in the universe to energy. so it must have had a beginning.

There is no scientific evidence in the universe to the contrary.
Any theory about the universe coming into existence by itself is just an exercise in imagination because the processes are all continuing at the moment and therefore prove that they had to have a beginning. Nothing cannot produce something. This is a scientific fact better known as “cause and effect.”

What evolutionists have to prove is that nothing can create something. Every other theory that they hold is actually disproved by the law of cause and effect. The entire structure of evolution is based on the assumption that the universe was always here and therefore did not need a creator.  It may have been possible to make such an assumption in the past but not now because scientists have all the evidence at their fingertips indicating that the universe had a beginning. Evolutionists have to prove that something can arise from nothing. That is why I have no hesitation in stating that the theory of evolution cannot be true.

Other Mysteries for Evolution

There are many other unexplainable mysteries if one believes in the theory of evolution.
For example: If evolution is evolving upwards and if “the survival of the fittest” is true then we are not the highest form of evolution. Why? Because our life spans are too short. Obviously turtles must be the highest form of life because they can live to about 200 years, which is far greater than mankind at present. Trees could also be regarded as even higher on the evolutionary scale than turtles, because sequoia trees have been found to be thousands of years old. Surely that is “survival of the fittest”.

Does Similarity prove Evolution?

Another thing; On what basis do evolutionists get the authority to assume that similarity proves evolution? Even if thousands of examples are produced that appear to demonstrate that there are similarities between living creatures this does not in any way prove evolution.
All the evidence in the real world show that similarity is a characteristic associated with intelligent design.
Take boats as an example: Think of the variety of boats that exist. We might say that boats evolved but we do not mean what evolutionists mean by the word evolved. We simply mean that we have developed the idea of a simple raft or canoe and made improvements and variations in the design to achieve various objectives. Or consider wheels. Wheels may differ in many ways yet they are still wheels. Compare the metal wheels of a train with the wheels of a bicycle or a bus. The fact that all vehicles have wheels show that they are all used for similar purposes. But someone may say that we are talking about inanimate things and not life. They might point to a tadpole that changes into a frog. But here is the rub. The tadpole’s genetic code has the program that takes it all the way from the first cell through the tadpole stage to the frog. All stages to the frog have been foreseen and pre-programmed to achieve the result. That is not evolution. The existence of the genetic code proves that tadpoles are just a stage in growth just as an egg is a stage in the growth of a bird.. The genetic code contains the program for the development of a complete frog. Interestingly the Bible was ahead of its time because it mentions the genetic code in this way. In fact the parts are all written in the language of the genetic code.
(Psalm 139:16) . . .Your eyes saw even the embryo of me, And in your book all its parts were down in writing, As regards the days when they were formed And there was not yet one among them.

Is Natural Selection a Law?

Another question I have pondered is why natural selection otherwise known as the “Survival of the Fittest” is regarded as a law by most scientists. I think that the evolutionists have done a very good PR job of convincing the scientific world that it is a law.
Why do I say that? Because if there are rabbits alive today then they are just as fit to survive as the predators that feed on them. Why? Because they are here.
In my opinion the idea of the survival of the fittest is merely a relative phenomena. At no place on the earth is the environment the same at any one time. Climates vary and many other conditions too many to mention.
If we create an environment that is favorable for milk and meat producing cattle, they will be the fittest to survive in that environment. However at another place where the environment is different other types of cattle could be more fit to survive in that particular environment. So the fittest are not necessarily the best as evolution implies.

The Balance in Nature

So it we are to regard it as a law of nature we need to realize that it has no evolutionary implications at all. It is just a mechanism to weed out the sickly and defective so that the best available is preserved to some degree. What I find more interesting, and a problem for the evolutionist is the numbers of offspring produced by various animals. Certain animals multiply rapidly providing plenty of food for predators. However predators generally have fewer offspring and longer growth periods to birth. This maintains a balance in nature.

Why Death

For example; If we take in all the oxygen in the world and give out carbon dioxide in the process we would ultimately drown in carbon dioxide if there was no process to reverse the situation. We can be grateful that there is such a process. Plant life takes in the carbon dioxide and replenishes the atmosphere with an oxygen supply for us. This balance in nature is an important part of our lives and so is the cycle of life. Animals feed on vegetation and vegetation absorbs minerals and ingredients from the soil and in this way animals benefit from the minerals they receive by feeding on the vegetation. Again there needs to be some return to the soil. It is therefore necessary for death and decay to preserve this cycle by returning these ingredients back to the soil. Evolution which is unintelligent could never have evolved this complex system and including the way animals react to death. On the other hand a kind and loving creator would make sure that animals would react different to humans who were once created with the hope of living indefinitely.

(Ecclesiastes 3:11) . . .Even time indefinite he has put in their heart, that mankind may never find out the work that the [true] God has made from the start to the finish.

Animals do not appear to have a fear of death like humans, but appear to react instinctively to danger. God did not create them with the intelligence to experience the mental stress caused by a fear of death. Furthermore according to the Bible much of the conditions that exist today are because man has deteriorated and is not exercising his dominion of the earth under God’s guidance and direction. According to the Bible after the flood Jehovah God permitted humans to add meat to their diet. This was obviously a farsighted blessing that God permitted because he foresaw how man would deteriorate and needed a enriched food supply. Why would God want to upgrade their food supply? The Bible shows that God was working to a time table. For mankind to be able to exist to his appointed time Jehovah evidently found that some adjustment was needed in their food supply. It was similar after the flood, when humans got together in united opposition to God. It was necessary to slow down their co-operative efforts, otherwise they might have reached the position that we are in today much earlier. As this did not fit into his appointed time so he took action. Although God permitted humans to kill animals for food they were not to abuse animals and this did not mean that this permission to eat meat would continue indefinitely.
Regarding the fear that animals experience. a herd of buck will bolt when seeing a lion looking for prey but once the lion has made its kill they display no fear but stand quietly watching as the lion devours the kill.

These two scriptures show how God expects us to view and treat animals
(Proverbs 12:10) The righteous one is caring for the soul of his domestic animal, but the mercies of the wicked ones are cruel.

Hosea 2:18) . . .And for them I shall certainly conclude a covenant in that day in connection with the wild beast of the field and with the flying creature of the heavens and the creeping thing of the ground, and the bow and the sword and war I shall break out of the land, and I will make them lie down in security. . .

Why a Balance in Nature?

Evolution’s problem is how did evolution evolve a balance in nature. What trial and error method did it use? Where did all this intelligent balance in nature comes from. It is only self-deception to say that “Nature” has accomplished this or that. “Nature” is only a descriptive term that describes processes that occur without man’s intervention. Evolutionists use the term “Nature” in the same way that we use the term God. From this standpoint evolutionist worship God under another name.
If we regard the Bible as a truthful account everything falls into place.

“In the Image of God”

The Bible says that man was created in God’s image. Now we are not invisible so therefore man’s reflection is not visual. How do we reflect God?
Well consider this; The Bible shows that perfect man was to exercise dominion in perfection over the whole earth. All the lower forms of life were made subject to man’s dominion and we were expected to exercise this dominion in a wise and considerate manner just as God governs his creation. The Bible reveals that the main attributes of God are Love, justice, wisdom and power. These are all characteristics that we find admirable and if humans were all perfect and following God’s direction we would have had the ability to exercise dominion over the earth in a similar way to the way God runs the universe. With consideration and love. Sad to say humans have abused the earth’s resources for selfish reasons.

Now consider the fact of imperfection. According to the Bible we are about 6000 years away from perfection, yet we can still reflect his attributes to some extent. Modern science knows about the effects of radiation on the human genetic system. Science says that the effects of cosmic rays and perhaps other forms of radiation damage our genes and when this occurs within the DNA of our sex cells the damage is inherited. Therefore contrary to the evolution theory we do not evolve upward but are suffering genetic damage which means that the human race is deteriorating in harmony with the law of entropy and not evolving upwards. This explains why humans are not reflecting these God-given qualities as well as we could have if we were perfect.
Now consider this fact. In spite of the fact that we have been deteriorating for 6000 years, humans still reflect the power and wisdom of God is some ways.

Just as God controls the universe and creates we are like God in relation to the earth to a lessor degree. We have some control of the environment and can improve the lot of the lower creation if we choose to do so.
Like God we have the power to create to a limited extent. We have harnessed the power in the atom. Although many animals are stronger than us yet we can control them because of our ability to build powerful machines. Birds can fly and yet so can we because using our superior mental abilities we can build machines to carry out these tasks. Fish can survive in the sea but so can we because of the machines we build.
Now can you imagine how wonderfully we could manage our assignment of exercising dominion over the earth it we were perfect and carrying it out under God’s direction. Instead we blunder about but still manage to achieve much in spite of our imperfection.

How about Miracles?

God performs miracles and we do not understand how they were accomplished because of our limited knowledge. Yet much of what has been accomplished by scientists today, would have been viewed as miracles in the past. Why? Because the knowledge to accomplish this was not available at that time. Consider the idea of men being able to speak and hear someone thousands of miles away with regard to TV. The ability to see earth from space, and other wonderful things that would have appeared as miraculous to individuals living in the past.
Humans can do many miracles today because of our knowledge of the laws of the universe. However we should not get too conceited as some do and imagine that we will be able to do what God can do. We were made in his image but only to a lesser degree. Nevertheless what we are capable of doing now is a tribute to the truthfulness of his word as to our being created in his image.

What about Design?

One important reason why I claim that evolution cannot be true is with regard to the matter of intelligent design.
Would any sane person looking at a modern movie camera conclude that it was not intelligently designed? Would any intelligent person look at machine like an electronic microscope or a TV and conclude that it happened by chance. Is not the design obvious. Why should we doubt our senses on the say-so of the evolutionist? But this is what evolutionists do when they tell us that all the design we see on this earth were not designed but was the result of accidental growth and that the design is only apparent.

What is the most amazing thing is that evolutionists have actually succeeded in getting the majority of people to doubt the evidence of their eyes and to conclude that all this design that we see around us is only an illusion.
When we humans design and build a sophisticated movie camera, we have no trouble in accepting that it was designed but when we look at the human eye which our cleverest designers have never been able to duplicate, evolutionists tell us that it was not designed. They say that it only appears to be designed. The majority of people have chosen to believe this nonsense in spite of the fact that the the eye is the only camera in existence that is fully automatic and has 180 degree undistorted vision. No lens that man has made can even remotely achieve that perfection of design, yet evolutionists tell us that that the design is only apparent. On the other hand when writing a book on evolution they have no hesitation in saying that Nature designed the eye of a fly or the the telescopic eye of an eagle. They evidently forget for the moment that design is supposed to be merely apparent or is it possible that they are forced to supply a cause and the only term that they can think of to avoid the word God is nature.

Can you look at any part of a human, insect or an animal’s body and conclude that it does not appear to have been designed.
Compare our hands and feet for example.Our hands have a thumb separate and set in opposition to our fingers. This fact enables us to pick up things as small as a needle and yet grab heavy tools if necessary. Similarly, our feet have a big toe but it is not like the thumb in that it is not set in opposition to our other toes. This makes it ideal for walking but very difficult to pick up things. If we find a person that can use his feet as good as hands then we put him in a circus and marvel how he managed to train his body to do that. What is the only conclusion? Our feet were designed for walking and our hands were designed to use tools. A monkey has not got hands and feet. It only has hands because it was designed to move around and hang in trees. Evolutionists say that the purpose one sees is only apparent, and that we are just lucky to be built like that. I say lucky because what occurred is supposed to have occurred by chance. Who is crazy? the Evolutionist or the people that believe them. Surely this is a hoax.
Can you see the need for intelligent design. Why did evolution decide to give a monkey four hands rather than hands and feet like humans. Do you think that they would be better off if they had hands and feet or are they not perfectly designed to fulfill their purpose? From a monkey’s perspective why walk about when one can swing from tree to tree and even get to the tops of trees where the food may be and one can see where predators are from the lofty position. Do you think that if given a choice they would prefer to have feet like a human. If one cannot see purpose then one is blind or too proud to admit that one is wrong. In fact consider this:- which of the two systems is superior?

When we find the heart, lungs, stomach, mouth and many more organs cooperating to keep us in action we are told that this is just accidental. One takes in food, through the mouth, it is handled by a set of grinders. The front ones for biting, the back ones for chewing. They are mixed with a liquid that allows them to flow freely down a tube to a container that we refer to as a stomach. The mixture is processed and passed through a long tube where nutrients are absorbed into another liquid that is then pumped by the most efficient pump in the world, through thousands of tubes that decrease in diameter so as to feed the most distant parts of the body with nutrients. All of this is supposed to have happened by accident and we actually believe the evolutionist when he tells us that this is not design but happened by accident. What is the basis for his conclusion? He notices a similarity between the bones in the hand of a man and the wings of a bird. Yet Just as our feet and hands look similar they never evolved from one anther but serve different purposes so there is a good reason why they are similar. If you doubt me then you think up a good reason why they should be different.The bone structure provides a framework for both the wing and the hand. What system would you recommend as an alternative? Is this claim by evolutionist not simply nonsense.

One of the tools we use to determine when something is designed is when it fulfills a logical purpose. Can you think of anything else in this world that you thought was designed and yet it was not? I can’t. Yet even if I was able to do this in a few cases, how does this compare with the millions of examples of evident design for a purpose in the universe..

Was it luck that we have cycles that preserve our atmosphere. Was it luck that our planet is just the right distance from the son. we surely must be the luckiest persons alive with all these lucky coincidences. Why are some odors offensive and others pleasant? Is it luck that the unpleasant smells are generally associated with the process of decay and to some extent dangerous to our health. Whereas the pleasant ones feel refreshing? Was it lucky that we have eyes at the highest point in our body and in the right place to have stereoscopic vision. Are we just lucky that the images that our eyes see, are reversed in our brain and we don’t see everything upside down? How did evolution know what was right side up so that it found it necessary for our brain to reverse the image?

Yet evolutionists have actually succeeded in convincing the majority of mankind to accept this nonsense. We have actually been told not to believe what our eyes see and what common sense tells us without the slightest evidence to the contrary. I think the story of the emperor and tailor is a good illustration of what is happening to mankind today . The emperor wanted a special suit of clothes so he commanded the tailor to make it to certain specifications. Apparently the tailor felt that he could not comply with the specifications and so he hit on a scheme. He told that emperor that he was using material that only intelligent people could see. He described each feature of the specifications but of course the emperor saw nothing. As he did not want to appear stupid he went along with the hoax and so did everybody else. The hoax was only exposed when a little child said to his mother “Look mommy, the emperor has got no clothes on.

The Great Deception

Am I kidding? No! This is exactly what evolutionist have convinced men to do. They are telling you that what you can see with your own eyes and which commonsense tells is a reality is an illusion.
You can plainly see design in all creation and they tell you that it is only apparent. Wow! And the majority of the people believe them. Wow! again. On what basis have they succeeded to convince mankind? Why by using another hoax. They tell people that there is a relationship between the bones in the wing of a bird and the fingers on your hand. Then they tell us that the one grew into the other and people believe them in spite of the fact that we are surrounded by examples of similarity that have nothing to do with evolution and actually were designed. Why do they not assume that the similarity is merely a variation in the design?. After all this is a normal conclusion and therefore its denial exposes the real motive. They are prejudiced atheists and hiding behind the cloak of science.

Believing or not believing in evolution does not prevent a scientist from doing his job. Why? Because evolution is not science but merely a theory believed by many whether they are scientists or not. Like my little story about the emperor, one of the reasons for its acceptance of evolution is intellectual pride. People have been conditioned to believe that one is ignorant and superstitious if one believes in God. This is the same motive that the emperor had. He did not wish to appear to be ignorant or stupid. When one talks about animals that are millions of years old it creates the illusion that we are very up-to-date, and scientifically knowledgeable. It is based on intellectualism. If you were in a scientific class at school and stated that you believed in God, you would probably be laughed at for being so stupid as to believe in a myth. Yet, evolution is in fact actually a false religion. Primitive peoples with little knowledge attributed creative power to trees, mountains, the sun and many other natural phenomena. The evolutionist has taken the same route. Humans have to provide a cause for whatever they believe, because we have been programmed to believe in a first cause. The evolutionist has developed a philosophy or religion that he apparently believes in wholeheartedly. It is the worship of “Nature.” Instead of ascribing the wisdom and design in nature to a Creator he ascribe all the same powers to the word nature. How often we read in evolutionary literature that nature designed certain stick insects to look like twigs so as to protect them from their enemies Of course little does he he realize that he has given the game away because he has admitted the design observed in nature. The word nature simply carries the meaning of what has been untouched by man. The only valid reason for claiming that the design in the universe is only apparent is because admitting intelligent design in nature means admitting the existence of a master designer and that is admitting the there is a God. The bare facts are this:- If we have two cameras, the one we admit to being designed because it was produced by man. The other camera that is even more complicated and superior in design but is not regarded as being designed.  Why? Because admitting design means admitting a master designer and that is admitting that God exists. If that is not prejudice and not science then what is?
Once we accept the fact of a master designer and therefore God, evolution is simply a false belief and therefore a false religion. It simply cannot be true.

How about Conscience?

Animals have no conception of justice or morals. The natural ability to be just and fair which is based on the ability to love has been ruined in many persons today by selfishness. However this was also predicted to have occurred since we left our creator’s guidance. The Bible even describes how this actually occurs.

(James 1:13-15) . . .When under trial, let no one say: “I am being tried by God.” For with evil things God cannot be tried nor does he himself try anyone. 14 But each one is tried by being drawn out and enticed by his own desire. 15 Then the desire, when it has become fertile, gives birth to sin; in turn, sin, when it has been accomplished, brings forth death.

The process is easy to understand. We may desire something and quickly dismiss it from our minds for various reasons. One reason could be that we realize that we can’t afford it and therefore would have to steal it to possess it. Our inborn conscience tells us that that is wrong. However if we continue to meditate on this wrong desire, then that desire will eventually grow to such a degree that it will eventually overrule all other reasons and motivate us to action and so we will steal it. This is how mankind is corrupting itself daily.

Evolution’s “survival of the fittest” has contributed to this selfish approach to life. Why? Because it justifies this behavior by saying it is a natural law. Hence the expression “Its not personal, Its only business” as if that is justification for selfish behavior. This extreme selfishness that we observed today is testimony to the truthfulness of the Bible. That is why the counsel of the world to follow your heart is not the way to follow, However it fits in with the survival of the fittest philosophy and is what the business world wants you to do. Why? Because the heart is the figurative seat of desire and motivation. Following one’s heart means in effect “Do what you want”, “Buy whatever you want”, “Take what you want” irrespective of others. “Follow the desires of you heart,” leads to selfish behavior. The scripture quoted below shows that the heart must be trained to follow accurate knowledge,thinking ability and a good conscience otherwise it will come to grief.
(Jeremiah 17:9) . . .The heart is more treacherous than anything else and is desperate. Who can know it?
(Proverbs 4:23) . . .More than all else that is to be guarded, safeguard your heart, for out of it are the sources of life. . .

Notice how Jesus applied this principle when discussing human relations.

(Matthew 5:28) . . .But I say to YOU that everyone that keeps on looking at a woman so as to have a passion for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

If a man keeps on looking at a woman and is nurturing a passion for her, he is basically committing adultery with her in his heart. All he needs is the opportunity to turn fantasy into fact.
Can we see how beneficial this counsel would be with respect to flirting which our  modern up-to-date world considers to be harmless. A married man flirting with a woman outside his marriage is committing moral suicide. He is cultivating a desire that when fertile and gven the opportunity can only result in infidelity.
That is why God can say in principal that humans “have acted ruinously on their own part” and “the defect is their own”
(Deuteronomy 32:4-5) . . .The Rock, perfect is his activity, For all his ways are justice. A God of faithfulness, with whom there is no injustice; Righteous and upright is he. 5 They have acted ruinously on their own part; They are not his children, the defect is their own. A generation crooked and twisted!

These words of wisdom are superior to any counsel we could receive from any psychologist. Furthermore these scriptures show why many humans just do not care what they do to satisfy their own selfish inclination. The following scripture shows that when a person continually ignores his conscience, then ultimately such an individual’s conscience would no longer be a guide.
(1 Timothy 4:1-2) However, the inspired utterance says definitely that in later periods of time some will fall away from the faith, paying attention to misleading inspired utterances and teachings of demons, 2 by the hypocrisy of men who speak lies, marked in their conscience as with a branding iron;

Scar tissue is unfeeling and therefore the Bible’s reference to the searing of the conscience as with a branding iron indicates that the person’s conscience is beyond feeling. In other words they appear to have no conscience. How does this arise? By the simple process of cultivating wrongful desires and repeatedly ignoring the conscience. As this faculty of conscience is one of the gifts that God put into us to help us discern what true morality is then it becomes obvious that if we make a habit of ignoring its warnings then ultimately we will act without conscience. That is why the Bible warns against following the heart blindly.
One can view conscience as behaving like the weighting of the woods that bowlers use. The weight on the side of the wood gives it bias. Bowlers make an allowance for this bias when aiming at their target. The wood gently curves in and in this way the passage of the wood is controlled. If there was no weighted bias the wood would haphazardly be misdirected by every irregularity in its path. This is how control is achieved. In the same way God has given us a bias called conscience, but its control is not automatic and it can be over-ruled or misdirected without proper management.
The question for evolution to explain is how evolution managed to evolve a conscience in the first place because conscience contradicts ” the “survival of the fittest” principle. Evolution is competitive. It is inherently selfish and looks only for its own interest. One of the visible evidences of the failure of evolution is the marked deteriorating of world conditions today. This selfish principle of the survival of the fittest has resulted in men generally behaving like wild beasts. This is not in any way regarded as meritorious but is regarded as depravity. The depravity of the world of today is marked by corruption in government, religion and the business world on an unprecedented scale. Compare these conditions with the time when the Bible was accepted as the world of God and people believed in it. it was considered good to measure up to its requirements. True, there was still corruption but certainly not as bad as today. Furthermore, because the failure of the religions to teach accurate knowledge, some people have done evil things in the name of religion. Someone might recall the wicked things that religions have been responsible for? Yes, but the ones practicing this conduct, whether claiming to be religious or not were not carrying out the principles taught in the Bible.

(2 Peter 2:1-3) However, there also came to be false prophets among the people, as there will also be false teachers among YOU. These very ones will quietly bring in destructive sects and will disown even the owner that bought them, bringing speedy destruction upon themselves. 2 Furthermore, many will follow their acts of loose conduct, and on account of these the way of the truth will be spoken of abusively. 3 Also, with covetousness they will exploit YOU with counterfeit words. But as for them, the judgment from of old is not moving slowly, and the destruction of them is not slumbering.

This fact has only emphasized the need for persons to gain accurate knowledge of the Bible itself rather than depend on what others say that the Bible teaches.

How about Domestic Animals?

The existence of domestic animals poses another problem for evolutionists. Why do we find certain animals preferring the company of humans in preference to their own kind? Even sheep love to have a human shepherd over them. There seems to be a distinct difference between wild and domestic animals.

(Genesis 1:25) . . .And God proceeded to make the wild beast of the earth according to its kind and the domestic animal according to its kind and every moving animal of the ground according to its kind. And God got to see that [it was] good.

True religion does not privately interpret scripture but allows the Bible to interpret itself by using scripture to explain scripture. I have explained this in more detail in other articles on my site.

One of the main points to gain from this article is this. All the evidence points to a wise and loving creator. Such a creator would never leave us in ignorance as to why the conditions in the world are so frustrating and make no sense. Humans have wanted to know why God has permitted these conditions to exist for decades. Many have lost faith in God because they were not able to find a satisfactory answer to this question. Little do people realize that God has provided the answer but we need to find the true religion to obtain the correct answers. The religious leaders of the established churches have not helped people to understand why this is so, because their religious leaders have also been misled by the evolution theory and therefore are of no help at all. It takes humility to believe in God.
This is what the Bible predicted would occur in the last days.

The Fruitage of False Evolution

(2 Timothy 3:1-5) But know this, that in the last days critical times hard to deal with will be here. 2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, self-assuming, haughty, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, disloyal, 3 having no natural affection, not open to any agreement, slanderers, without self-control, fierce, without love of goodness, 4 betrayers, headstrong, puffed up [with pride], lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godly devotion but proving false to its power; and from these turn away. . .

(2 Timothy 3:12-13) . . .In fact, all those desiring to live with godly devotion in association with Christ Jesus will also be persecuted. 13 But wicked men and impostors will advance from bad to worse, misleading and being misled.

(2 Timothy 4:3-5) For there will be a period of time when they will not put up with the healthful teaching, but, in accord with their own desires, they will accumulate teachers for themselves to have their ears tickled; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, whereas they will be turned aside to false stories. 5 You, though, keep your senses in all things, suffer evil, do [the] work of an evangelizer, fully accomplish your ministry.

I doubt whether anyone could logically deny that these conditions do exist today. However if evolution was true, and we were evolving to a higher elevation, these conditions would not exist. If we accept that the principle of “the survival of the fittest” is the present philosophy then it all makes good sense. The scriptures above were penned 2000 years ago and contrary to the normal view that with increased knowledge and improvements within civilization, we would improve the world, the opposite has been shown to be the case. The wicked condition described in the above scriptures are an accurate description of the real world whereas evolution’s dream world of improvement moving to perfection is just a dream. We should now be living in a better world if evolution was true.
