Who Rules the World?

The question of who wants to rule the word is probably easier to answer. We see the seventh world power of history doing its utmost to police the world, trying to maintain a degree of peace. On the other hand we find Muslim radicals trying to impose their form of religio-political will on nations and this is the way it has been for thousand of years. Great military geniuses have expanded their control, producing empires and then found that as they expanded their conquests, it got more and more difficult to control their gains until someone else took over.

There was a time when our creator Jehovah God was the undisputed ruler of the universe. However rebellion broke out in the universe when one of God’s spirit sons in the spirit world embarked on a course of rebellion. This spirit son  cultivated a haughty proud spirit within himself and imagined that he was smarter than his creator. Considering the high standards that God stood for as a weakness, when  Adam and Eve, were created, he seized this opportunity to make his move.  Imagining that if he could deceive Adam and Eve and get them to disobey God he could produce a situation that God would not be able to solve without breaking his own high morality. In this he underestimated his creator.

How did God handle the matter? In harmony with his righteous qualities Our Creator did not fly into a rage and destroy the offender. He rather permitted the offender to prove his case, knowing full well that he would never be able to achieve harmony and peace by his unrighteous methods. Furthermore by allowing this period of time he also set in motion a ransom arrangement that could legally make it possible to restore what the offspring of Adam had lost because of their forefather’s disobedience.

.

The Way God Runs the Universe

God runs his universe on the principle of love. He created his intelligent creatures, both heavenly and earthly with freewill, but also the ability to respond to kindness and love. This meant that although he had the power to do so, his rule was not dictatorial, but was based on the assumption that we could respond to kindness and a love of righteousness. As worship is a form of love to a superlative degree it was an appreciative response to his loving care for us. The principles are well laid out in the Bible in this way.

(1 John 4:10-11) . . .The love is in this respect, not that we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent forth his Son as a propitiatory sacrifice for our sins. 11 Beloved ones, if this is how God loved us, then we are ourselves under obligation to love one another.
(1 John 5:3) . . .For this is what the love of God means, that we observe his commandments; and yet his commandments are not burdensome,

However it is also very obvious that if creatures have freewill then some sort of control has to be exercised. Imagine the chaos that would exist if there were no traffic laws and if everyone just did their own thing. Therefore God has chosen to make laws but sets the example by working in harmony with his own laws. Ultimately God is reasonable but will not tolerate rebellion because it would disrupt the peace and harmony of his universe and also bring hardship on the innocent such as has occurred under Satan’s rebellion. That is why God intends making this a test case and when once it is settled it will never be allowed to occur again.

(Nahum 1:9) . . .What will YOU men think up against Jehovah? He is causing an outright extermination. Distress will not rise up a second time.

.

The Beginning of Satan’s Rule

Adam chose to follow Satan rather than God and because God permitted Satan time to prove his boast, Adam’s offspring and that means us, were born into a world under Satan’s control. One of the ways that Satan has chosen to exercise his control is by the existence of human governments that he has created. I have discusses this in greater detail in my article entitled “Can you Trust Bible Prophecy.”
That is why Jesus referred to Satan as the “ruler” of the world and never denied Satan’s claim that he had the power over the kingdoms that he controlled.

(John 12:31) . . .Now there is a judging of this world; now the ruler of this world will be cast out.
(John 14:30) . . .I shall not speak much with YOU anymore, for the ruler of the world is coming. And he has no hold on m. . .
(Luke 4:5-8) . . .So he brought him up and showed him all the kingdoms of the inhabited earth in an instant of time;
6 and the Devil said to him: “I will give you all this authority and the glory of them, because it has been delivered to me, and to whomever I wish I give it. 7 You, therefore, if you do an act of worship before me, it will all be yours.” 8 In reply Jesus said to him: “It is written, ‘It is Jehovah your God you must worship, and it is to him alone you must render sacred service. . .

Other Angels Choose Satan’s Rule

Just before the flood of Noah’s day a number of angels chose to join in with Satan’s rebellion. Apparently they cultivated a wrongful desire to enjoy sex with the women of that time. To achieve their ends they materialized fleshly bodies and married the woman producing offspring that were hybrids and unusually large men who were referred to as the Nephilum, which means (fellers). God upset there wicked scheme by bringing the flood, destroying these bullies and causing the wicked angels to dematerialize. (Gen 6:1-4) The Bible informs us that God placed these angels under restraint, so that they could never materialize fleshly bodies again.(Jude 6,7) This meant that they had to influence mankind in other ways. On one occasion after Jesus resurrection, his disciples were afraid that they were seeing an apparition provided by wicked spirits, Jesus asked them to feel his bones and flesh and even ate with them in order to allay their fears.  In the past angels had visited Abraham and even eaten a meal with Abraham indicating that God’s angels who are spirits could materialize bodies. The wicked angels could no longer do this since God had places them under restraint after the flood.

(Luke 24:37-39) 37 But because they were terrified, and had become frightened, they were imagining they beheld a spirit. 38 So he said to them: “Why are YOU troubled, and why is it doubts come up in YOUR hearts? 39 See my hands and my feet, that it is I myself; feel me and see, because a spirit does not have flesh and bones just as YOU behold that I have. . .

On one occasion during the time of the Medo-Persian empire an angel came to Daniel in answer to Daniel’s prayer and explained that the prince of Persia withstood him for 21 days and Michael came to his aid. Now it is obvious that no human prince could hold up an angel and so it seems to be quite obvious that this prince was a very powerful subordinate wicked angel that was in control of the Persian world power. This helps us to see that probably one of reasons why the nations are always ambitiously at war with one another is because these wicked demon princes are themselves competing with one another for power. This is exactly what happens when individuals use their freewill to do just as they like with out regard for each other. God’s way is the only way that results in harmony and peace.

Jerusalem Foreshadows Something Greater

Within the historical record of the Bible God records how he intends once again resuming his rightful control over the earth as the universal ruler.
In 1513 BCE Jehovah rescued the Israelite people from destruction because the Egyptians were bent on destroying all male babies and this taken to its final conclusion would have meant the end of  Israel as a nation. He then concluded a covenant (agreement) with them based on their deliverance and they became his nation, his kingdom. This was the only kingdom of God on earth at that time. As long as they remained obedient to his laws he fought their battles and protected them from their enemies. All of this was done to create a prophetic drama that foreshadowed a future kingdom in the hands of his son that would reverse all the ills of mankind.

Finally he allowed their city and temple to be destroyed in the year 607 BCE by Babylon, the 3rd world power. However, he had Jeremiah prophecy that their captivity to Babylon would last for 70 years and then they could return to their land and restore pure worship. This restoration occurred in 537 BCE after Babylon was conquered by the Medes and the Persians and when Cyrus issued the decree allowing them to return to their land. All this has been confirmed by Archeology with the discovery and translation of the Cyrus cylinder.

At this point I wish to digress slightly. One must realize that the way the ancients counted time was different to the way we do.  What we have to do is line up their dates with our Gregorian calender. Because some secular authorities accept 586 B.C.E.  as an approximate date for Jerusalem’s destruction whereas we use 607 B.C.E. there appears to be the need for some explanation.

.

Authority for acceptance of the date 607 B.C.E.

Reliable Bible chronology is based on certain pivotal dates. A pivotal date is a calendar date in history that has a sound basis for acceptance and that corresponds to a specific event recorded in the Bible. It can then be used as the starting point from which a series of Bible events can be located on the calendar with certainty. Once this pivotal point is fixed, calculations forward or backward from this date are made from accurate records in the Bible itself, such as the stated life spans of people or the duration of the reigns of kings. Thus, starting from a pegged point, we can use the reliable internal chronology of the Bible itself in dating many Bible events.

A prominent event recorded both in the Bible and in secular history is the overthrow of the city of Babylon by the Medes and Persians under Cyrus. The Bible records this event at Daniel 5:30. Various historical sources (including Diodorus, Africanus, Eusebius, Ptolemy, and the Babylonian tablets) support 539 B.C.E. as the year for the overthrow of Babylon by Cyrus. The Nabonidus Chronicle gives the month and day of the city’s fall (the year is missing). Secular chronologers have thus set the date for the fall of Babylon as October 11, 539 B.C.E., according to the Julian calendar, or October 5 by the Gregorian calendar.

Following the overthrow of Babylon, and during his first year as ruler of conquered Babylon, Cyrus issued his famous decree permitting the Jews to return to Jerusalem. In view of the Bible record, the decree was likely made late in 538 B.C.E. or toward the spring of 537 B.C.E. This would give ample opportunity for the Jews to resettle in their homeland and to come up to Jerusalem to restore the worship of Jehovah in “the seventh month,” Tishri, or about October 1, 537 B.C.E.—Ezra 1:1-4; 3:1-6.

This restoration of Jehovah’s worship in the autumn of 537 B.C.E. marked the end of the “seventy years” of desolation predicted by Jeremiah. “In accord with the fulfilling of seventy years at Babylon I shall turn my attention to you people, and I will establish toward you my good word in bringing you back to this place.” (Jer. 25:11, 12; 29:10) Daniel, who was well acquainted with this prophecy, acted in harmony with it as the “seventy years” drew to a close. (Dan. 9:1-3) The “seventy years” that ended in the autumn of the year 537 B.C.E. must have begun, then, in the autumn of 607 B.C.E. The facts bear this out. Jeremiah chapter 52 describes the momentous events of the siege of Jerusalem, the Babylonian breakthrough, and the capture of King Zedekiah in 607 B.C.E. Then, as verse 12 states, “in the fifth month, on the tenth day,” that is, the tenth day of Ab (corresponding to parts of July and August), the Babylonians burned the temple and the city. However, this was not yet the starting point of the “seventy years.” Some vestige of Jewish sovereignty still remained in the person of Gedaliah, whom the king of Babylon had appointed as governor of the remaining Jewish settlements. “In the seventh month,” Gedaliah and some others were assassinated, so that the remaining Jews fled in fear to Egypt. Then only, from about October 1, 607 B.C.E., was the land in the complete sense “lying desolated . . . to fulfill seventy years.”—2 Ki. 25:22-26; 2 Chron. 36:20,

As this may appear to be very complicated I will summarize these events.

1. The conquest of overthrow or Babylon occurred in 539 B.C.E. by Cyrus and is thoroughly authenticated so it can be used as a pivotal date.

2. From this dated it is calculated from the scriptures that Cyrus issued his proclamation for the Jews to return to there homeland in 537 B.C.E. after a period of 70 years during which they were held captive in Babylon.

3. Counting 70 years back from 537 B.C.E. we arrive at 607 B.C.E. which was the date of Jerusalem’s destruction.

The one difference between before and after 537 B.C.E. is that they were never ever again an independent kingdom, but served as vassal kings under the rule of the various dominating world powers of history. This is very significant because it meant that rather than being ruled by God himself they were subject to the world powers and therefore this was not the actual restoration of  God’s rule.
This is supported by Jesus statement at Luke 24.24.

(Luke 21:24) . . .and they will fall by the edge of the sword and be led captive into all the nations; and Jerusalem will be trampled on by the nations, until the appointed times of the nations are fulfilled.. .

This scripture has been taken literally to mean that the temple of Jerusalem which is at present a Muslim sacred site will be rebuilt.  Actually this scripture must harmonize with other scriptures and once one realizes that Jesus pronounced the divorce decree against literal Jerusalem then we see that this must apply to something else.

(Luke 13:34-35) . . .Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the killer of the prophets and stoner of those sent forth to her—how often I wanted to gather your children together in the manner that a hen gathers her brood of chicks under her wings, but YOU people did not want [it]! 35 Look! YOUR house is abandoned to YOU. I tell YOU, YOU will by no means see me until YOU say, ‘Blessed is he that comes in Jehovah’s name.’”

The Bible speaks of another Jerusalem, a heavenly Jerusalem that was foreshadowed by the Jerusalem on earth.

(Galatians 4:25-26) . . .Now this Ha´gar means Si´nai, a mountain in Arabia, and she corresponds with the Jerusalem today, for she is in slavery with her children. 26 But the Jerusalem above is free, and she is our mother.

Literal Jerusalem represented God’s kingdom and in 607 BCE when Babylon overthrew Jerusalem, Jerusalem began to be trampled on by the nations. In 537 BCE although the Jews returned to their homeland Jerusalem was still being trampled on by the nations because their kings all served as vassal kings under the control of the dominant world powers.

.

A Heavenly Kingdom

When the kingdom of God was predicted to reappear it was to be no longer an earthly kingdom represented by Jerusalem but was to be a heavenly kingdom in the hands of Jesus Christ. The prophet Daniel saw this occasion in a vision at Daniel 7.

(Daniel 7:13-14) 13 “I kept on beholding in the visions of the night, and, see there! with the clouds of the heavens someone like a son of man happened to be coming; and to the Ancient of Days he gained access, and they brought him up close even before that One. 14 And to him there were given rulership and dignity and kingdom, that the peoples, national groups and languages should all serve even him. His rulership is an indefinitely lasting rulership that will not pass away, and his kingdom one that will not be brought to ruin.

Therefore the trampling down of Jerusalem as representing God’s kingdom would continue until the heavenly kingdom of God was set up.
This was illustrated by what the prophet said regarding Zedekiah, king of Israel when Babylon conquered Jerusalem and the nation of Israel

(Ezekiel 21:25-27) 25 “And as for you, O deadly wounded, wicked chieftain of Israel, whose day has come in the time of the error of [the] end, 26 this is what the Sovereign Lord Jehovah has said, ‘Remove the turban, and lift off the crown. This will not be the same. Put on high even what is low, and bring low even the high one. 27 A ruin, a ruin, a ruin I shall make it. As for this also, it will certainly become no [one’s] until he comes who has the legal right, and I must give [it] to him.’

Notice that God specifically said that “it will certainly become no [one’s] until he comes who has the legal right, and I must give [it] to him”

The one who had the legal right was Jesus Christ as shown by Daniel’s vision. There Jesus is shown receiving his heavenly kingdom. This means that the trampling down of God’s kingdom would occur until it was once again re-established but this time in heaven.

When Jesus discussed the trampling down he said:-

(Luke 21:24) . . .and they will fall by the edge of the sword and be led captive into all the nations; and Jerusalem will be trampled on by the nations, until the appointed times of the nations are fulfilled..

What did this mean? Basically that the governments of the world would have complete rulership over the world until God’s heavenly kingdom was set up.  What were the appointed times?

.

A Prophetic Dream regarding Rulership

At Daniel chapter 4:16-37, Daniel records that King Nebuchadnezzar, the king that conquered Israel had a dream which Daniel interpreted to him. He saw a tree that was so great that it filled the earth and under which all creatures had shelter under its branches. A voice said chop the tree down but leave the rootstock and put a band of iron and copper around the rootstock and let seven times pass over it. After the seven times loosen the band around the rootstock and allow it once again to grow to be a mighty tree which gave shelter to all creatures.

During the seven times it was predicted that Nebuchadnezzar would behave like a wild beast for a period of seven times, but at the end of the seven times he would be restored to his kingdom.

(Daniel 4:13-17) . . .“‘I continued beholding in the visions of my head upon my bed, and, look! a watcher, even a holy one, coming down from the heavens themselves. 14 He was calling out loudly, and this is what he was saying: “CHOP the tree down, and cut off its boughs. SHAKE off its foliage, and scatter its fruitage. Let the beast flee from under it, and the birds from its boughs. 15 However, LEAVE its rootstock itself in the earth, even with a banding of iron and of copper, among the grass of the field; and with the dew of the heavens let it be wet, and with the beast let its portion be among the vegetation of the earth. 16 Let its heart be changed from that of mankind, and let the heart of a beast be given to it, and let seven times pass over it. 17 By the decree of watchers the thing is, and [by] the saying of holy ones the request is, to the intent that people living may know that the Most High is Ruler in the kingdom of mankind and that to the one whom he wants to he gives it.. .

The important point  to notice is the purpose of the vision “until you know that the Most High is Ruler in the kingdom of mankind, and that to the one whom he wants to he gives it.”

Now the prophecies have already indicated the identity of the one whom God intends giving it to. Furthermore the prophecy had also said that it would become no ones until the one comes who has the legal right. This indicates that the prophecy is a way of illustrating the events that have to do with God’s rulership and God’s right to select who he wants to be the ruler.

In Nebuchanezzar’s case for the purpose of the illustration Nebuchadnezzar acted out two separate parts.

1st Nebuchadnezzar portrayed God’s rule by means of the kingdom of Israel (From 1513 BCE to 607 BCE as a benevolent rulership) This benevolent rulership was chopped down (in 607 BEC by the Babylon world power)

2nd Then Nebuchdnezzar portrayed the way the nations, starting with Babylon would rule. It would be a beastly rule (interestingly human governments are often portrayed in scripture as wild beasts.)

(Daniel 7:17) . . .‘As for these huge beasts, because they are four, there are four kings that will stand up from the earth. . .

3rd When Nebuchadnezzar was restored to his sanity, he once again pictured divine rulership by means of the kingdom of God in the hands of Jesus Christ.

(Daniel 4:24-25) 24 this is the interpretation, O king, and the decree of the Most High is that which must befall my lord the king. 25 And you they will be driving away from men, and with the beasts of the field your dwelling will come to be, and the vegetation is what they will give even to you to eat just like bulls; and with the dew of the heavens you yourself will be getting wet, and seven times themselves will pass over you, until you know that the Most High is Ruler in the kingdom of mankind, and that to the one whom he wants to he gives it.

(Daniel 4:28-34) 28 All this befell Neb·u·chad·nez´zar the king. 29 At the end of twelve lunar months he happened to be walking upon the royal palace of Babylon. 30 The king was answering and saying: “Is not this Babylon the Great, that I myself have built for the royal house with the strength of my might and for the dignity of my majesty?” 31 While the word was yet in the king’s mouth, there was a voice that fell from the heavens: “To you it is being said, O Neb·u·chad·nez´zar the king, ‘The kingdom itself has gone away from you, 32 and from mankind they are driving even you away, and with the beasts of the field your dwelling will be. Vegetation they will give even to you to eat just like bulls, and seven times themselves will pass over you, until you know that the Most High is Ruler in the kingdom of mankind, and that to the one whom he wants to he gives it.’” 33 At that moment the word itself was fulfilled upon Neb·u·chad·nez´zar, and from mankind he was being driven away, and vegetation he began to eat just like bulls, and with the dew of the heavens his own body got to be wet, until his very hair grew long just like eagles’ [feathers] and his nails like birds’ [claws]. 34 “And at the end of the days I, Neb·u·chad·nez´zar, lifted up to the heavens my eyes, and my own understanding began to return to me; and I blessed the Most High himself, and the One living to time indefinite I praised and glorified, because his rulership is a rulership to time indefinite and his kingdom is for generation after generation.

How long were these seven times?
A variant of the Old Greek (Septuagint) reads “seven years.” The “seven times” were treated as “seven years” by the first-century Jewish historian Josephus. (Antiquities of the Jews, Book 10, Chapter 10, paragraph 6) And certain Hebrew scholars have viewed these “times” as “years.” “Seven years” is the rendering in An American Translation, Today’s English Version, and the translation by James Moffatt.
By comparing a few scriptures in Genesis regarding how long the waters were covering the earth we can see that the Bible writers considered a year to be 360 days long.

(Genesis 7:11) 11 In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on this day all the springs of the vast watery deep were broken open and the floodgates of the heavens were opened. . .
(Genesis 7:24)
24 And the waters continued overwhelming the earth a hundred and fifty days. . .
(Genesis 8:3-4) . . .And the waters began receding from off the earth, progressively receding; and at the end of a hundred and fifty days the waters were lacking.
4 And in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, the ark came to rest on the mountains of Ar´a·rat.

Evidently it began to rain on the 17th day of the 2nd month and the ark rested on the 17th day of 7th month after 150 days. 5 months are recorded as being 150 days. That is 30 days per month.

If the times are years then 1 time = 360 days (12 times 30 = 360 days) then seven times would equal 2520 days.(360 times 7)

.

A Day for a Year

Because Jesus mentioned that the “appointed times of the nations” lay in the future and that was about 500 years after 607 BCE.  The 2520 literal days are far too little. However as I have shown in another prophetic article entitled “Can Bible Prophecy Be trusted? very often with regard to prophecy the days represent years and this would make the 2520 days now 2520 years counting from 607 BCE. This brings one to the year 1914 CE. This can be verified by checking (Ezek 4:6,7 and Number 14:34 where this Bible rule appears. We obtain the date by subtracting 607-2520 = 1913. However because there is no year zero counting 607 years would bring us to 1CE and not to the year zero. The first year after 1 CE would take us to 2 CE an so if we count 1913 years from 1 CE it takes us to the years 1914. The facts of the prophecy are as follows.

1.    Israel with Jerusalem as its capital city represented God’s kingdom.
2. When Jerusalem was conquered in 607 BCE by the Babylonians God’s kingdom began to be trampled on by the nations.
3. Jerusalem was to be trampled on until the “appointed times” of the nations were fulfilled, because even though the Jews were restored to their land their kings were only vassal kings and so subject to the nations.
4. These seven appointed times of the nations have proved to be 2520 years.
5.  Counting 2520 years from 607 BCE bring us to the years 1914 CE
6. God’ kingdom was to be re-established in the heavens in the hands  of Jesus Christ who was the “one whose right it is”

This means that since 1914 God’s kingdom was established in the heavens unseen by human eyes but made manifest to faithful servants of God because of the visible signs that Jesus gave by which we would discern its presence.
Now here is something for you to seriously consider that I think may help us to consider the reliability of Bible prophecy This is a quotation from a New York newspaper in august 1914.

.

God’s Heavenly Kingdom Established in 1914

“The terrific war outbreak in Europe has fulfilled an extraordinary prophecy. For a quarter of a century past, through preachers and through press, the ‘International Bible Students,’ best known as ‘Millennial Dawners,’ have been proclaiming to the world that the Day of Wrath prophesied in the Bible would dawn in 1914. ‘Look out for 1914!’ has been the cry of the hundreds of traveling evangelists.”—The World, a New York newspaper, August 30, 1914.

The fulfillment of the prophecy established that the method of calculation had God’s approval because right on time the 1st world war broke out, which constituted the visible sign of the establishment of God’s Kingdom unseen to human eyes in the heavens.

Approximately 1880 CE a small group of individuals in association with a man named Charles Taze Russel began a restudy of the Bible from scratch to ascertain the true teachings of the Bible.  Right from the beginning they began to uncover truths that had been long forgotten. They used a topical method study that Jesus used when teaching his disciples mentioned at (Luke 24:27). They also happened to acquire a interlinear translation of the Bible that also showed the Greek text. This translation was known as the “Emphatic Diaglott” by Benjamin Wilson. This enabled them to discover a few truths hidden in the then popular Kings James version of the Bible. One of these points was that the Greek word “parousia” meaning “presence”had been incorrectly translated as “coming which was only a later meaning of the word. Armed with this information and by comparing scripture with scripture they noted that Jesus had made it plain that “the world would behold him no more” (John 14:13) but the signs he gave would signify that he was invisibly present in kingdom power. As I have discussed these signs in other articles therefore I will not repeat them here.

.

The Failure of the Ruler of the World

Since 1914 we have entered the last days of the Devil’s system and the Devil’s world is now staggering on to its end. It is now more than ever possible to see the failure of Satan’s rule over man. This fact has cleared God’s name of the reproach brought on to it by Satan’s lies. We might recall that Satan influenced Adam and Eve to disobey God by promising them that they could be like God and able to decide what was good or bad for themselves. In this way he suggested that God’s rule was not in their best interest and that they could do better by being independent. God warned them that if they left his protective care that they would die, and this actually occurred as he had warned. This warning was scientifically borne out by the fact that we are all subject to the 1st and 2nd laws of thermodynamics. These laws show that everything breaks down and if we are to live indefinitely we would require maintenance. To understand what is meant by the application of these two laws. An enormous amount of energy is put into the construction of a building. If left to itself, after a period of time the natural forces of the universe will reduce it to dust. If it is to last it has to be maintained and a lot of work put into it. God explained to Adam that he had come from dust and therefore would return to dust. Only our Creator could maintain Adam and his offspring. The Devil could not maintain them because he is not the source of life. To support his lie all the Devil could do was bluff mankind into believing that at death they had never really died because they possessed an immortal soul that survived the death of the body. This lie opened the door to spiritualism and so, aided by his subordinate wicked angels, they have misled mankind using apparitions and psychic phenomena, pretending to be a person’s deceased loved ones. The only weapon that humans have had to cut through the Devil’s deception was the Bible. That is why Satan has done everything in his power to discredit the Bible in the eyes of the world by means of illogical teachings taught by those who are supposed to represent it and theories like the theory of evolution.
Since then their topical study of the Bible has opened up many other sacred truths. Today they are recognized as Jehovah’s witnesses. Just like the clergy of Jesus day who tried to do away with Jesus and his disciples and did this by an alliance with the Devil’s national Governments so the clergy today, misrepresent the witnesses in many different ways so that the majority of people view the witnesses as fanatics, twisters of the Bible and a threat to national security and peace. All of this was predicted to occur and if you take the trouble to investigate the other articles on this site you will have ample proof of this fact. All Jehovah’s witnesses ask is for you to give them a fair hearing and judge for yourselves whether they speak the truth or not by checking what they say with the scriptures.

If you wish to see the details of the signs that Jesus gave to prove his presence you should consult some of the other articles which include the scriptural proof. However it started with a world war that was destined to begin a period of  world trouble. Furthermore Ps 110 tells us about what happens when Jesus begins his rule. At verse 2 indicates that Jesus begins his rule in the midst of his enemies and at Matt 24: 34 tells us that the generation that sees these signs would not pass away before everything was fulfilled.

If you would like to continue further I suggest that you consult a list of articles published on this site and also the other links that are provided.

One Response to “Who Rules the World?”

  1. [...] prophecy has been discussed in some detail in one of my articles entitled “Who Rules the world” and so I cannot discuss it in detail here but I definitely recommend that one checks this article [...]
